London wine merchant Goedhuis & Co is staging a celebration of nine outstanding rosé producers, in aid of the Starlight Children's Foundation.
At the Summer Rosé Experience in the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea, guests will be able to meet the producers and try the rosé wines of three Champagne producers, four Provencal estates, Bordeaux’s Château de Sours and Sancerre’s Domaine Reverdy.
The champagne producers taking part are Champagne de Bruyne, Billecart Salmon and Laurent Perrier; the Provencal estates are Chateau St Baillon, Domaine de Jale, Chateau d’Esclans and Domaine Ott.
Wines will be accompanied by London restaurant Manicomio’s renowned Parma Ham, Boulogne maitre fromagier Philippe Olivier’s cheese and breads from Flour Power City Bakery.
There will be a steel band, and stallholders are offering a prize for a silent auction to be held on the night.
All profits from the event and proceeds of the auction will be donated to the Starlight Children’s Foundation, the UK’s leading wish-granting charity, which aims to grant wishes to all sick children who request them.
Many parents say that they believe their child’s Starlight wish marked the turning point in their illness.
