Once the old Leasingham winery in Clare, it was purchased by Tim Adams in 2010 and named after his mentor, Mick Knappstein. This inviting wine features plenty of fragrant red fruit, violets and spice on the nose. The palate leads with prickly sweet spice flavours that have been picked up during maturation in French oak. Another influence of the oak is the smooth, creamy character that follows, accompanied by cherry, baked strawberry and plum fruits with a savoury finish.
