An impressive wine from a well-known producer, this is made from Garnacha Blanca rather than the blander Viura grape that's more commonly used for white Rioja. The juice is fermented in concrete tanks and then the wine ages for two months in oak before being bottle-aged before release – impressive at this price level. The extra time in bottle has given this a classy richness of style, not dissimilar to a white Burgundy. Full, round and creamy, the spice and citrus notes linger after sipping.
