Balfour Winery, Hush Heath Estate, 1503 Foxwood Classic

Made by Owen Elias and Victoria Ash this good-value cuvée, exclusive to the Co-op, is a blend of 63% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 2% Pinot Meunier from estate fruit planted in 2002. The creamy mousse leads to a vibrant palate of tangy green apple, meadow flowers and a citrus bite of acidity in a fruit-forward, very English style. The '1503' in the name refers to the year Hush Heath Manor in Kent was founded.
