Bordeaux 2008 en primeur – Blaye & Côtes de Blaye

The Blayais is a large region opposite Saint-Julien and Pauillac on the righthand side of the Gironde Estuary. Both red and white wines are produced and while the whites suffer in comparison with those from the Entre-deux-Mers, the reds have a fine firm ripeness of fruit that makes them the equal of many wines from the Médoc.
