Domaine de l’Arlot, La Gerbotte, Nuits-St-Georges, 2013

A domaine that needs little introduction. La Gerbotte comes from the youngest vines (planted 16 years ago) on the monopole premier cru vineyard Clos de l’Arlot. While it is labelled a village wine it could be a premier cru but the domaine has chosen to wait another decade until the vines have reached full maturity. Lovely vibrancy with citrus and floral aromas. Steely and mineral with buttery notes from the oak adding complexity.
