Max Allen is a Melbourne-based drinks author and journalist with over 25 years’ experience. He has published over a dozen books about drinks, including The Future Makers: Australian Wines for the 21st Century, named Best International Wine Book at the Louis Roederer Awards, plus Red and White: Wine Made Simple, which won the André Simon Memorial Prize. He is the wine and drinks columnist for the Australian Financial Review, wine editor of Gourmet Traveller Magazine and Australian correspondent for Jancis Robinson.
