Alejandro Sejanovich and Jeff Mausbach, who met while working at Catena, started this project together in 2009. The 1,100m Toko vineyard (which means 'stone' in Mendoza's native Huarpe language; Zaha means 'heart') is a field blend planted from a massal selection in 2004, and the Malbec is co-fermented with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The powerful, ripe blackberry fruit is bolstered on the silky palate by smoky oak, sweet spices and structured tannins.
