Buenas Vides, Specially Selected Cabernet Sauvignon, Mendoza, Argentina 2020

It's a strong showing from Aldi's Buenas Vides label from Argentina, with this and the new 2021 vintages of the Specially Selected Shiraz and Uco Valley Malbec all punching above their weight for the price. The extra time in bottle has only improved this intense and vibrant Cabernet from when Decanter first tried it last year. It's jam-packed with fresh blackcurrants, blueberries and raspberries with an inky mineral spine and sappy tannins holding it together.
