Another little gem in the Tesco range (along with the Mount Pleasant Hunter Valley Semillon, too), this Argentinian iteration is gorgeously toasty and complex on the nose, showing a little sponge cake and baking spice richness. Vanilla and custard creaminess lingers on the finish. There's good tension here, and the oak is showing through somewhat at present. This should develop very well with some years in bottle, so why not grab two bottles: open one now and enjoy with a rich creamy chicken dish; and save the other for a few years down the line. Coming in under £20 a bottle, it's hard to argue otherwise.
