Fermented in open vats for 10 days, this wine then spends 16 months in a mixture of French and American oak. It has a delicious meaty, cherry fruit nose with dried herb hints. In the mouth it is smooth, but also structured with fine tannins. Flavours of blackcurrant, cherry, subtle vanilla and spices provide interest, leading onto a finish with red fruit notes. An elegant style which lacks blockbuster intensity but makes up for it with a classy, complex character.
