A curious nose to begin with, showing layers of wet-wool Marsanne, sage and perfumed Viognier. Full-bodied and generous palate, a touch oily, with rich, ripe apricot flavour. Intensely, explosively flavoursome wine with lingering peach and apricot, finishing dry. Chewy essence of stone fruits and a touch of caramel on the finish. A powerful wine without recourse to excessive oak or alcohol. Try it with cheese.
