Fresh, saline, crisp and full of childlike energy – this invokes memories of summer days splashing in the ocean shores. Apple blossom, crunchy Granny Smith flesh and a lick of spice too. Delicate yet playful, lively and vibrant. Lovely waves of phenolics on the palate, providing length and detail. Plenty acidity and salinity across the palate but all sweet fruit at its core with lacy tannins. If this could smile, it would have dimples. It is not the biggest wine, yet the complexity grows on the palate, and there is plenty to enjoy. Whole-bunch pressed to tank, cold-settled, then fermented in steel with a small portion in old oak.
