The Balnaves family has maintained exceptional standards through successive vintages of its premium cuvée, The Tally, capturing depth and power while retaining grace and elegance. Dark and intense, it has the generous proportion of 9% Petit Verdot co-fermented with Cabernet Sauvignon to elevate a liquorice accent to the perfume and amplify a voluminous purple colour. The palate tells a more complex story, as lively red berries roll playfully with ample-bodied mulberry and cassis, followed by the heft of blackberry grunting some profound bass notes. Tight graphite tannins ensure the firm palate and luscious texture hold true through a long, sustained final note. Poise and precision.
