<p>Regarded as one of the best Shiraz vintages of the noughties, the grapes were picked between 3 February and 16 April and benefited from a new, gentler crusher. Gives of itself slowly, initially revealing a mellow, plummy palate, with ripe but present graphite tannins, savoury pan juices, kelp, black olive, dried herbs, baked earth and bitter chocolate. Pithier, livelier pomegranate notes firm up the finish.</p>
