A very dry spring and summer. Osborn dubs the 2013 vintage ‘the Barolo year’ for its prodigious tannins. They are plentiful but fine and savoury, fanning out and propelling ripe red and black and creamier blue berry fruits which mingle with bitter chocolate, loam and dried rose notes. A dynamic, unfurling palate is starting to hit its stride. Well focused and concentrated but balanced.
