Power and concentration are defining factors from the outset; impenetrable purple colour, an imposing high tide of plump purple, blue and black berries on the nose, and a hefty opening salvo of dense, ripe berries that instantly fills the front palate. The intensity is high and the flavour profile turned up to full volume, but the flavours are in balance, carried by a strong spine of acid that prevents the load from collapsing under pressure. Indeed, the behemoth saunters along a lengthy back palate and finishes with aplomb, thanks to silky tannins.
