The original Amery Road Grenache vines went with the vine pull scheme, but the variety was re-planted in 1999 with cuttings from Beautiful View neighbours, Oliver’s Taranga. From the mid-section of the north-east-facing Grenache parcel on shallow, relatively sandy soils, with red sandy loam over quartz, ironstone gravels, weathered and calcareous sandstone, siltstone and limestone. Pretty florals, with succulent red cherry and berry, dried herb nuances and soft, earthy tannins.
