Kooliburra, The Torched Tree Specially Selected Malbec, Padthaway, South Australia 2021

Padthaway is about an hour's drive north of Coonawarra and produces many of the same Bordeaux varietals but for a fraction of the price. This is a friendly and moreish example, boasting lifted aromas and flavours of violets, crunchy blue and purple berries and brisk, refreshing acidity.
