Michael Hall will challenge any preconceptions of Barossa Shiraz with this understated, elegant beauty. Sourced from the elevated granite belt in Flaxman’s Valley (part of the Barossa subregion of Eden Valley), this fruit speaks deliberately in a soft voice. The pretty perfume owes thanks to 20% whole bunch berries in the ferment, although no aspect of this Shiraz is exaggerated. Indeed, the blackberry, redcurrant and mocha flavours are soft and lean, melding in silky, seamless weave, with 20 months’ maturation in mostly old French oak.
