Secondary to the Yellow Label range, the Petaluma White Label range is meant to be more approachable in youth and more affordable too. It's great to see this on offer at Majestic, it's seen 18 months in French oak and it's a 2017 vintage, so we've got almost three years in bottle and it's showing well. Billowing, bold black fruit with unmistakable eucalyptus and herbal characters. The oak is still fairly apparent, with heavy char and toast as well as vanilla-coated cassis. Cedar, pine and tea leaves give good complexity and the wine is thick and silky in the mouth. This will be in stores from November.
