Wild strawberries and a little herbal note like sage, but quite restrained on the nose. Full-bodied with plenty of puppy fat, with a lovely raspberry note on the mid-palate. Superfine tannins, and enough of them to give this a good sense of character and tension, if not grip. There’s a long finish, with more strawberry and raspberry flavour. From 78-year-old dry-grown bush vines planted on sand.
