A single-vineyard expression from the Hampel family’s northern Ebenezer subregion, which maintains steady focus along its palate line, showing controlled intensity. The flavour meld is smooth as it slides gracefully across the middle palate, showing an interlocked weave of black plum, bright cherry and blackberry piqued by cedar, violets, black olive, milk chocolate and dark, dank earth, all marching together towards a distant finish. Oak contains rather than constricts these elements. It will definitely reward the patient after a decade in the cellar.
