Wakefield Estate, Jaraman Chardonnay, South Australia, 2018

Interestingly this is a blend of Chardonnay from Adelaide Hills and Clare Valley, whose vineyards are 90 miles apart. It’s an intense, brooding wine with apricot and ripe apple fruit, a dash of creamy vanilla and a tight spiral of citrus acidity driven through its very core. Incredibly drinkable and food versatile.
