Ben Haines earned his winemaking stripes at Mount Langi Ghiran, before putting his name to a range of low-intervention, terroir-driven wines. This stunning Syrah comes from the loamy Miners Ridge vineyard and spends six months on lees in old puncheons. There's Rhône-like perfume and savoury grip, as the palate balances earthy, rustic notes with finely etched, dancing fruit – pomegranate and cranberry. Lifted and so light on its feet; a joy to drink.
