A dry summer and bird pressure caused by the Marri blossom, which did not flower until after harvest, resulted in exceptionally low yields of just 1.39 tonnes/hectare.  The wine spent five months in French oak, 73% new.

This has enchanting complexity and lift to the nose and palate, with flinty struck-match, toast, heady lilies, green almond and white peach. It's a sensual, very perfumed, resonant wine with insinuating grapefruity acidity and a long, lithe finish.
