A pale salmon colour suggests a delicate wine, but winemaker Rob Mann has built a rosé of surprising complexity and restraint. The bone-dry palate and mild fruitiness draws your attention to the mid-palate texture, defined by a meaty chew typical of Mourvedre. There's a gentle pull of fine-grained tannins and pucker of a proud acid spine enhanced by a splash of Vermentino. The addition of some Grenache adds a hint of raspberry to the gentle blueberry and white pepper tones, while that firm structure ensures the flavours hold a long, sinewy line.
