Kalfu is a range of cool climate wines – the name means 'blue' in the Chilean Mapuche language, a reference to the ocean influences in coastal vineyards. This PInot is sourced from the Tapihue vineyard in Casablanca Valley where, according to winemaker Alejandro Galaz: 'The Pacific breezes provide perfect conditions for slow ripening.' Fresh aromas with juicy fruit: crushed raspberries, strawberries and blueberries. Freshness on the palate too, with lovely depth of silky blueberry and raspberry fruit, good acidity, plus cracked black pepper spice on the finish.
