Aldi's wines start at £3.29 but there's not much to recommend there. However for £1.50 more, this offers uncomplicated but decent drinking: plummy, juicy, ripe black fruits, a smooth mouthfeel and nice herbal freshness from 15% of Cabernet Sauvignon. Gives wines twice the price a run for their money.
