Italy's Antinori family oversee the winemaking at Haras de Pirquque, which is also known for its stable of racing horses. This weekday Cabernet is named after a successful Chilean stallion and is certainly in the running with its bright black fruit and good varietal typicity. Classic hints of mint and chocolate combine with a touch of earthiness and soft juicy tannins on the palate, with well-judged spice from 12 months in French oak. Good value.
