Drinking Window: 2012 - 2019
Better known for his Argentinian reds from Uco Valley, ex-Goldman Sachs banker José Manuel Ortega has purchased vineyards in the Maule Valley with century-old old bush vines of Cabernets Sauvignon and Franc. Blends are made mainy from Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan and Merlot. A combination of balanced older vines, poor soils and proximity to the river aids the process of aroma development, freshness and longevity. This wine is a firm, concentrated, rich red infused with spice.
