Undurraga, TH Carignan, Maule Valley, Chile, 2011

Tasted by: Patricio Tapia
Drinking Window: 2015 - 2020
From two very old dry-farmed vineyards in Loncomilla and Cauquenes, in the heart of Maule Valley, this is a fine and attractively priced example of the Carignan grape. Its acidity is firm and tight, while its savage tannins offer a solid structure. The lifted flavours of flowers and red cherries deliver a fruity yet complex palate. A wine to age.
