An organic ‘late harvest’ Cabernet Sauvignon which was not picked until 20 October 2014. The Cabernet vines used in this wine were planted in 1998, but it wasn't until 2007 when they made it for the first time. Only a small batch (600 to 900 bottles) of this wine is made in the best years. Aged in 100% new French oak for 14-18 months, it has an explosive black and red currant fruit nose, plus tobacco leaves, vanilla and a hint of blood. It has thick and concentrated dark fruits on the palate with grippy, tea-like tannins, followed by liquorice and sweet herbs on the finish.
