The label says this non-vintage fizz was bottled in France but the grapes that went into it are truly European: Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Bobal and 7% Muscat. It's a hodgepodge but they come together surprisingly well, delivering simple flavours of cherryade and melon. The bottle will entice many but the Crémant de Bordeaux rosé (£9.49), made in the Champagne method, is superior.
