A complex nose of smoke, savoury mushroom and cedar leads to ripe blackcurrant, black cherry and a touch of green pepper, decorated by clove and star anise. Tannins are still robust, with good acidity to balance juicy dark berries, a touch of mint, plus more sweet spices, wood and herb flavours. Ripe blackberry and sweet spice linger on the finish. SW
