Château Barreyres, Haut-Médoc, Cru Bourgeois, Bordeaux, 2016

An affordable and easy-drinking Claret from Sainsburys from the excellent 2016 vintage. This is upfront and immensely fruity with a juiciness on the palate that's balanced and well rounded. It has softly gripping tannins that have a chalky minerality to them and a lifted minty finish. Enjoyable.
