Quite a mixed expression with plenty of toasted tobacco, clove, cinnamon and liquorice aspects alongside the bramble fruit but with high almost crisp red fruit acidity that gives this energy and lifts the expression. It’s unfussy and well made, and not trying too hard. Cool and chunky, quite a tannic style with plenty of power and upfront flesh to the blackcurrant and plum fruit but also a nice freshness throughout and a long length. A bold style but still works.
