Fragrant, deep and rich nose, almost heady but keeps a cool accent rather than overly sun-kissed. This is bright and lifted, pure and focused with lovely detail to the tannins - they feel nicely integrated with good persistence and forward motion. I really like this, fun, sappy, great texture, perhaps missing a touch of that Merlot bounce in this vintage, but equally I really do like it’s straight forward character with mint, herbal edges and a cool vein all the way through. Nice to see another bottling of this kind.
