From the Montrose stable, this is incredibly deep in colour, more purple than violet, while on the palate it displays tight tannins that accompany deep and powerful fruit. This really needs time to unfurl as it is currently a touch austere and not as supple as the 2014 was at this stage. It has some gorgeous St-Estèphe clay power and will unfurl over the next few years. The blend is 58% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc.
