Quite fragrant and really quite savoury – the dried herbs, liquorice and tobacco touches with mint too – so Cabernet – pretty and inviting. This has such a lovely softness straight away, no hard edges, fleshy and ripe fruit with a cool undercurrent. Lovely salty touches too. I like this, feels restrained with freshness and a long length. Delicious, charming, welcoming, a really lovely wine with a juicy core. Not shouting this is understated but I love it. Still tension driving the wine but it’s not the focus.
