Deep colour. Refreshing Cabernet (80% Franc) nose. Sweet-fruited attack and mid-palate. Smooth, supple texture.

Dried flowers and dried herbs, smells gently nuanced. Juicy and charming, this is easy to drink with a lovely plumpness. You still have the tense, liquorice edge to the wine, reminding you of what it is and where it comes from - the estate signature fully on show in all the wines. An impressive 2013 which isn't the case everywhere in the tricky vintage, this has presence in the mouth, slightly grippy, mineral-edged tannins, a long finish and good dose of heat and punch of alcohol. Drink this today with a prime cut of beef.
