This deliciously fruity, lifted, balanced Morey-St-Denis represents the huge changes and improvements made at Bichot, especially for their red wines. From a good, but not great vintage in 2014, Bichot has been able to craft a lovely wine filled with bright red berries and liquorice flavours that linger on the palate. This vintage had rot issues from Suzukii fruit flies but careful sorting at Bichot produced a succulent, juicy wine. The wine is just starting to open up, revealing nuanced spicy and leather notes. Aged in oak for 16 months in one-third new barrels.
