A wine of enormous energy and verve, with a spicy, briary edge to the ripe mulberry fruit that attests to the 70% whole-bunch treatment of the ferment. The texture is still supple and approachable, however, with notable freshness for 2023. Owner Amélie Berthaut has timed the picking just right in this tricky year: 'We are often but not always the first to pick, we use only our own staff and pick this first.' The old-vine fruit in some of these parcels gives a wine that is truly magic.
