Drunk with great pleasure eight years after the vintage, this premier cru from Bruno Lorenzon is a revelation, boasting aromas of quince and apricot along with hints of mineral, freshly mown hay and beeswax. The texture is still dense and long, with the balanced acidity one would expect from such a sunny vintage. The wine is mature, but not overly so, with a superbly elegant marzipan evolution and length. The grapes were gently pressed as whole clusters and fermented and aged in cask (30% new) for 20 months and another four in tank.
