Tremblay’s Bourgogne hails from old vines in the lieu-dit of La Croix Blanche, on the southern side of Vosne-Romanée, which gives the cuvée its name. Since 2009 it has been complemented by vines in Chambolle. The 2016 reveals a bouquet of spicy red and black fruit, framed by a touch of new wood. On the palate the wine is structured around fine, savoury tannins, with a core of bright fruit and lovely length and definition. For those with the patience to wait five or six years, this score will likely seem conservative.
