Domaine Dugat-Py, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, Burgundy, France 2024

Superb wine, with arresting aromas of passion fruit, lime peel and iodine. There is enough acidity to bring balance to the wine, but the ripe fruit echoes on the finish, giving a wine of density and power. The grapes are from 0.4ha of En Charlemagne, which run from the middle of the slope to the top; they are gently crushed before fermentation and aged in barrel, 25% new.
