A powerful wine with a lovely dark, plummy black fruit aroma that is beginning to show its complexity, with a pronounced saline minerality, a savoury edge and notes of mint and flowers. The texture is firmly structured, with powerful tannins and abundant freshness driving it to a lingering finish. This is more substantial than many 2017s, yet it is also a very elegant and expressive wine that should age for years.
