The Chambertin is the most ample and complete of Fourrier’s négoce bottlings, opening in the glass with notes of pure red fruit, potpourri and a framing of new oak. On the palate the wine has good volume and moderate depth, its tannins fine but firm and its core of fruit endowed with good energy. This isn’t going to make you forget the domaine wines, but it’s a nice bottle of Burgundy.
