A relatively new house, launched 10 years ago, named in tribute to Charles II of England who fell in love with Champagne after a trip to France. This might be the 'entry' cuvée, but is a very serious wine, showing fine mousse, lovely weight of expressive buttered apple and praline notes and balancing citrus acidity.
