Palmer's 2015 vintage has continued to develop since its release three years ago. It has reached a plateau of richness, with pecan and demerara over its clean, precise and approachable fruit. The Chardonnay of the eastern Montagne is heady and almost tropical with its creamy pineapple and caramelised citrus, the heat and structure of the year present with ripe, juicy apricot fruit but not, like a lot of 2015s, yielding toughness but rather a beautiful substance and gentle vinosity.
